NNSA Graduate Fellowship Program small banner

For more than 20 years, the National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Graduate Fellowship Program (NGFP) has been developing the next generation of leaders in nuclear security and nonproliferation. NGFP places the best and brightest graduate-level students from top-tier universities into year-long, salaried positions with NNSA program and site offices across the nation.

NGFP offers unmatched opportunities for graduate-level students to gain hands-on experience and explore careers in nuclear security across the NNSA enterprise. Fellows contribute to a variety of programs that advance the nuclear security mission, and they leave their fellowships well-suited for employment within the technical and policy realm. After their fellowships, Fellows are highly sought after by employers in nuclear security and related fields. Many go on to positions with government agencies, national laboratories, nongovernment organizations, industry, academia, and other organizations worldwide.

More than 300 Fellows have completed the program, and their impacts have spanned the nuclear security enterprise and the world. The program has become a recognized resource for bringing top talent to our nation’s critical nuclear security missions, and it continues to evolve to build future leaders who can help create solutions to complex challenges facing the nation and its security long into the future. NGFP can be your gateway into a career in nuclear security and nonproliferation. Apply today to join us in advancing this critical mission!
